Amana Tandem NED7300WW 6.7 Cu. Ft. White Electric Dryer Review
The Amana Tandem NED7300WW is an unassuming little machine that manages to deliver despite its tiny size. That size is a hindrance when trying to dry large, bulky items, but regular clothes came out dry as a bone. It treated delicate fabrics very well, too, heating up to a safe temperature while still managing to get everything dry. A lack of customization and no extra features means you don't have much say in what's happening to your clothes, and the $699 MSRP may not be entirely justified for slightly imperfect performance. It's somewhat telling that many retailers claim this model is discontinued, resulting in our having to purchase one directly from the manufacturer.
The Amana Tandem NED7300WW is a sturdy little dryer that managed to do a decent job despite having the customization level of a shoe box. Using a control layout that's just a few degrees shy of only having an On/Off switch, this appliance managed to provide adequate service for all load types except large, bulky items. For slightly imperfect service, though, the MSRP of $699 seems a bit high - there are other models out there that will do a better job for less money. On top of that, it's incredibly difficult to find. More than a few websites claim that this model is discontinued. We ended up buying one direct from the manufacturer, who assured us the model was still in production.
