At Reviewed.com, we are firm believers in the principle of constant improvement. That means we update our tests and scoring rubrics periodically to ensure that our results best reflect the needs of consumers.
We've been rolling out some improvements across WasherDryerInfo.com over the past week, which is why you may have noticed some scores changing significantly in recent days.
An example of one improvement is in how we score dryers. After evaluating all the major dryers on the market, we noticed that some machines were able to still achieve a perfect score on our Normal cycle test despite their reaching extremely high temperatures that may prematurely wear some clothes over time. To ensure that was reflected in the products' scores, we put more emphasis on the weighting for temperature on the Normal cycle. We did not change the results of any tests, but we did strengthen our interpretation of those results.
Appliances are always improving, and so are we. Since the products we test are given dynamic scores between 1 and 10, their overall numerical ratings will continue to change as newer and better models hit the market. What won't change is our commitment to scientific testing and unbiased reviews.
