Introduction

Front

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

The {{product.name}} has a pretty classic design for a stackable dryer. The door is easy to open, too.

Speed & Performance Overview

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

On every cycle but Quick Dry, the {{product.name}} removed nearly all the water from our test loads of laundry. The Normal and Heavy Duty cycles took under an hour, though you'll have to wait a lot longer for Delicates to get through.

Normal Cycle Performance

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

In 58 minutes, the {{product.name}} took 98 percent of the water out of our 8 lb. test load. Other washers can get 100 percent out, but it usually takes them an additional 15 minutes or more.

Delicates Cycle Performance

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

The {{product.name}} got our delicates wash almost entirely dry -- though it took almost an hour and a half to do so.

Bulky Cycle Performance

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

In under an hour, a bulky load of towels and sheets went from wet to dry.

Quick Dry Cycle Performance

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

In just 23 minutes, the {{product.name}} squeezed out 70 percent of the water we put in to our test load. That's not ideal, but it's on par with most other dryers.

Dry Cycles

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

You can select all the usual cycles on the {{product.name}}'s dial. They're listed below.

Customization

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

On the control panel, you can also customize temperature and the sensitivity of the drying sensor.

Additional Drying Options

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

Controls

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

It doesn't say so on the unit itself, but you have to press and hold the "start" button to begin a drying cycle. Also, the text on the timer is somewhat hard to read and rarely accurate.

Door

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

The door is substantial but easy to open and close.

Lint Trap

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

No tricks to removing the lint trap, and the washer will even remind you to do so after each cycle.

Comparison Overview

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

The {{product.name}} may cost a little more than the Frigidaire, but it's got more features, better drying options and better performance.

Performance

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

In some cases, the {{product.name}}'s cycles are a little longer than the Frigidaire's, but in our tests they also got more moisture out of the clothes. This is especially true for delicates.

Customization & Features

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

No comparison here. The {{product.name}} actually has features, while the Frigidaire is a bare-bones machine.

Design

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

Again, no contest. The {{product.name}} feels substantial and looks as attractive as a dryer needs to be. The Frigidaire is flimsy by comparison.

Comparison Overview

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

In comparison to the similarly-priced GE, the {{product.name}} is evenly matched performance-wise, too.

Performance

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

Customization & Features

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

Both the GE and Maytag have a similar number of features, though the {{product.name}} had more cycles.

Design

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

They're both stackable dryers, and neither one has any design flaws or faults.

Comparison Overview

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

Though the {{product.name}} can be found for about half the price of its corporate cousin, it still outperforms the Whirlpool in nearly every measure.

Performance

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

Customization & Features

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

With limited features and customizability, the {{product.name}} can't win here, but most users will be satisfied with the options it provides.

Design

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

Conclusion

{{section_header}}{{section.name}}{{/section_header}}

For under $600, there aren't many washers that perform better than the {{product.name}}. Sure, it's got finicky controls and some cycles take a little longer than other dryers, but it's a good combination of features for the price.
