A British laundry service has redesigned a Miele washing machine to be so simple, even dogs can use it.

Called Woof To Wash, the new machine was customized by JTM Service Ltd. so that support dogs can do a full load of laundry. The changes didn't have to be that dramatic: Dogs have already been trained to load and unload clothes, and the Miele washer can already dispense detergent automatically.

This new machine lets dogs start a wash by barking or pressing on a special "Start" button designed to be operated by paw. There's also a hook on the outside of the door so dogs can open it with their teeth.

"For our clients, it's just amazing, really. It's such a help," said Rita Howson of Support Dogs, a service dog training organization.

In order to make the machine as simple as possible, it only has a single 104ºF cycle, designed for suitability for most laundry loads. It also makes it easy to use for humans with physical and cognitive impairments.
